Tell Councilmember Gruber: Tenants Can’t Wait!

Contact Councilmember Mitch Gruber to ask him to publicly support all five Stabilize Rochester demands, starting by publicly supporting the immediate passage of Good Cause Eviction Protections and the No Certificate of Occupancy, No Eviction Law.

Other cities such as Albany and Hudson have already moved forward with these protections. But to date, Councilmember Gruber, who campaigned as an affordable housing advocate, has been against the immediate passage of Good Cause Eviction Protections and the No Certificate of Occupancy, No Eviction Law.

Dear Councilmember Gruber,

My name is _____, and I am asking you to publicly support all five Stabilize Rochester demands, starting by publicly supporting the immediate passage of Good Cause Eviction Protections and the No Certificate of Occupancy, No Eviction Law. Albany and Hudson have already moved forward with these protections.

Rochester has been in an eviction crisis long before the pandemic and will stay in one for good unless you act now.

[Share your own story -- rent hikes, trouble finding affordable housing, living in poor conditions, fear of retaliatory evictions for speaking up. Or share what you’ve observed happening in the City of Rochester with housing.]

Again, please publicly support all five Stabilize Rochester demands, starting by publicly supporting the immediate passage of Good Cause Eviction Protections and the No Certificate of Occupancy, No Eviction Law.
